Kodeas is the engineering team behind Qordo, a task management platform built to replace ClickUp across an entire group of businesses. Instead of paying for off-the-shelf software that everyone had to bend their work around, the group now runs on a tool built for exactly how its teams operate, organised into business units, departments, projects, and tasks, with the comments, files, due dates, and dependencies people expect from day one.

Qordo was designed from the start to do something most task tools cannot: treat AI agents as real team members you can assign work to, safely and with human oversight. Kodeas built the platform and continues to run and extend it, which is why this case study can show the work in real depth.

Execution

The goal was clear from the first week: move an entire group of businesses off ClickUp without losing a beat, then take them somewhere no off-the-shelf tool could go, a workspace where AI agents work alongside people. We shipped a complete, dependable product first, then built the agent future on top of it.

Qordo launched bilingual in English and Chinese, shaped around exactly how these teams work instead of forcing them to bend around the software. The biggest wins:

Project results

Qordo is live and now runs the group's day-to-day work in place of ClickUp, ending the subscription cost and giving the teams a tool shaped around their own way of working. The same platform already connects to AI coding assistants through a published integration, the first concrete step toward its larger purpose: letting AI agents take on assigned work with human approval built in.
